Each month we pray for the impact of the people who are bringing life around the world through Lifewords projects and resources.
A New Rhythm is a set of twelve beautifully-designed and content-rich postcards exploring the beatitudes of Matthew 5. In a world of division, fear, and burnout, they sound a new rhythm – a welcome, not a weapon, tender, not toxic.
These new cards are designed to help us explore the way of trust, lament, humility, justice, compassion, right motive, peace-making, surrender, and radical love. They can be easily shared, collected, or used for starting faith conversations.
Pray with us that as we share this new resource it will offer an introduction, or re-introduction, of how transformational the gospel really is. Pray that as we engage with Jesus’ message of quiet revolution our friends, families, and communities would be transformed.
Pray that people would be hungry to join in God’s activity in the world and to experience the flourishing that can happen in our relationships, in our lives and for others.

Lifewords in East Africa share good news through Bible resources and programmes, focusing on poorer communities and on work with children and young people. The ministry is based from our office in Kenya, with programme work also in Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and DR Congo. The team, led by Clara Ngobolia, trains children and young peoples' workers, equipping them with Choose Life programme resources. Lifewords also runs a programme of Bible clubs in high schools and prisons, as well as distributing Bible literature to churches and individuals in a range of languages.
Give thanks for the distribution of Bible resources in 2025, and for new partnerships developed. Last year, the team in Kenya facilitated literature ministry in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, DRC Congo, Rwanda, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Give thanks for impact of children’s and young people’s ministry in Kenya and Uganda. During December, new Lifewords partners, Ablaze International, held a conference for Kenyan young people: “The resources provided by Lifewords played a vital role in strengthening the effectiveness of the mission,” says Shem Matikho, from Ablaze International. “They were thoughtfully utilised across various ministry contexts, including evangelism outreach, discipleship sessions, leadership engagements, and follow-up activities. The availability of these materials enabled participants to engage more deeply in Scripture, encouraged personal reflection, and provided practical tools for spiritual growth beyond the conference period.”
Pray for the team as they make plans to reachcommunities with limited or no access to Scripture. Lifewords is partnering with local leaders and institutions, seeking to empower churches and community partners to build sustainable, replicable ministry models.

Becki’s story: Hope, welcome and practical support
North End Baptist Church’s commitment to serving its community shapes everything it does. While the church may not be large or well-resourced, its focus has always been on offering hope and warmth to anyone they come into contact with.
“We’re not a big church with a big budget, but we are doing our best to bring hope, welcome, and practical support to anyone who walks through our doors and within our local community, ”says Becki, from the church. North End Baptist Church is able to offer Bible resources thanks to the generosity of Lifewords’ supporters, whose commitment to Paying it Forward enables resources to reach churches and communities that need them most. For North End Baptist Church, this support has made a real difference, enabling them to extend their reach and deepen their impact in the community they love.
Praise God for Becki and the other church members who are seeking to offer welcome and love to the community. Give thanks for generosity of others that has enabled them to share Lifewords resources as part of their ministry.
Pray that their outreach would continue to bring life to the people they serve.
